The connecting structure was completed in November. The slide gate barrel section was cast with antimicrobial admixtures and waterproofing membrane, manhole rungs were installed, and the slide gate stem and stand were set in place. A separate manhole barrel was also cast to provide platform access for stop log maintenance. The slide gate was exercised and is now in service. The site was then backfilled, restored to subgrade elevations, and demobilized. Landscape restoration will occur in the spring.
